Level 3: Those that will do what it takes.

“Knowledge by itself will not change you or make you successful, it is only the application of that knowledge that has the power to make you successful.”

To achieve success you must make the decision, learn the skills, and take action.

I notice now that I have approached MLM in such a backwards, uninformed manor. I was brought on with the promise of “Point Z.” And that’s okay… but I do need to look at and accept B to Y. LOL. I consider myself fortunate in that the business/product I am with.. I really do love and have passion for… maybe too much, as I have “vomited” it all over everyone! I have made a decision… I am at the step where I need to learn the skill. Now I do have an amazing “hardship story”… maybe one day Brian will ask to interview me about my way up and up the MLM road 😉 But seriously I really will enjoy learning more and sharing it with my team. I do not blame my upline, they were simply doing what they were trained. … but I do hope to change our way of looking at this and presenting the opportunity. And hey, it’s not for everyone. But it is for me.

We all approach MLM backwards I think. We’re taught ‘ignorance on fire’, the 3 foot rule, and to just ‘go out and get a hundred no’s’ – then when that stuff doesn’t work, we’re told to work on our attitude, set some goals, and be motivated.

However, I’m a firm believer that most folks that get involved in network marketing have a pretty positive attitude and have quite a few goals. I don’t know anyone that get’s involved that doesn’t want to ‘fire their boss’.

It’s the lack of skills. Period.

Now that you’ve made the decision to learn the skills, apply them consistently, and you will see massive results.

In network marketing, we do have a better way – there’s not need for us to plead and beg with folks to join our business – because this profession (while not perfect) is just better.

Thanks for sharing your feedback, Andrea :)

And I look forward to watching YOUR interview when it happens 😀

Thanks so much for sharing that Andrea, you are not alone! All too often distributors will take the “easy way out” and recruit new team members by playing to people’s emotions and promising the riches of “Point Z”. Under those circumstances very few see the necessity for years of hard work and dedication. Further compounding the difficulty is when you truly love your product and “vomit” information on anyone willing to listen – something I always struggled with. All of these pain points are reasons we created the CatalystMLM community and you’re a part of it :) Listen to some of the other interviews, go through the trainings, and ask us questions. We’re here to help you grow so that one day (in the near future) I can interview you as a leader in the industry. Let’s do that together!
