In MLM, everyone starts at the bottom of the steep hill looking up, anticipating a long and rewarding climb to the top. Some will start out fast, others will gain momentum as they go. Some will quit, a few will make it all the way. Luck was not a factor in helping those who reached the top; it took a lot of dedication, commitment, and building an MLM plan in order to succeed. What does it take to summit the hill of success?

Climbing to the top of the MLM hill can be thought of like the Red Bull 400m run. Only 400m? Sounds fairly easy, right? Take a look at the video clip below to shatter your expectations of what a 400m race entails.

Your Personal Best: Race to the Top in MLM

Planning

So you’ve decided to start your own MLM business, now what? Success doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t happen if you don’t give your business the attention and hard work it needs in order to grow. Network marketing requires a strategy and a solid MLM plan to follow in order to push forward and stay on track. Here are just a few things to consider before getting started:

  • – How are you going to tackle the climb to the top? Outline your goals, your visions, and your strategies for recruitment and sales.
  • – Who are you going to target first for sales, and how are you going to grow your list of prospects to include a larger scope outside of friends and family?
  • – What sort of marketing tactics are you going to use?
  • – What do you need in order to have an effective online presence?
  • – What sort of skills do you possess, and which ones do you need to acquire?

Training

Running a 400m meter uphill race takes training. You have to mold your body into its best physical shape and you have to put your mind to use as well. You have to believe that you can reach the top, because if you don’t believe it, you won’t achieve it.

The same goes with MLM. Before you get started, you want to make sure you have the right mindset and are properly equipped for the trek. Research the company you are thinking about enrolling in to make sure it’s a good fit for you. Are you passionate about the product and the company’s mission? Is this a reputable company? Is the market over-saturated with this type of product, and is my location a warm market or a cold market for this type of product? Ask yourself if you have everything you need before you get started. How do you acquire the skills you are lacking? Are there training courses you can take, or does your company offer applicable training literature? Don’t be afraid to seek advice from those in your upline or MLM industry leaders. Soak up all the knowledge you can so you can get started with a lot of momentum.

Just Go

You’ve planned. You’ve trained. Now it’s race day, and you’re ready. Stick to your MLM plans and strategies, but don’t be afraid to make adjustments if you need to. Find out what works best for you and your network marketing company and go with it.

Momentum

Most importantly, keep the momentum going. Don’t lose enthusiasm or let naysayers get you down. Surround yourself with encouragement and positive attitudes. Before you started, you were excited, right? Don’t let that original excitement slip through your fingers. Keep pushing, and eventually you’ll reach the top.

Never stop training. Always be on the lookout for opportunities to learn new things and always be seeking advice from those who have reached the summit. This is a race for your personal best, it’s not King of the Hill. Those at the top want to see you succeed also, they don’t want to push you down and make you climb further.

Reach the Finish Line with the Right MLM Plan

Just like the 400m run, the network marketing industry is unique. The 400m race makes you run in a different way than what you’re comfortable with, it requires special training outside of your normal daily jogging routine. MLM is not your typical 9-5 job. It requires running a business on your own and training the right way, and maintaining a positive mindset as you go. Create an MLM plan that’s right for you and don’t be afraid to push the boundaries. Don’t let minor setbacks push you down and try not to stumble over the small failures you encounter along the way.
