Think of your MLM market like a sea and you’re the fisher. There’s a school of fish circling your boat and you’re aiming for them; these are your close circle of family and friends you’ve been targeting. You’ve caught a few, but suddenly the bites stop coming, and now you’ve exhausted this warm market and no one else is taking the bait. This may seem familiar. You start your network marketing business and target those that are closest to you. When that’s dried up, you move on to friends of friends, minor acquaintances, and so on, but that market soon dries up as well. You feel like the ocean of potential recruits has turned into a barren, empty desert. So what do you do next?
Todd Falcone gets asked this question quite a bit, and he offers some great advice to those looking to expand their list of potential recruits. Watch in the video clip below as Todd goes over some fundamental recruiting tips for what to do when you’ve exhausted your warm market.
Todd Falcone’s 4 Strategies for Hooking New Prospects
1. There’s more fish in the sea. There’s a whole world of opportunity out there just waiting to jump on board with your MLM company. Get involved. Meet new people by joining clubs or organizations that interest you, join a sports league, or check out any local Meetups that spark your fancy. Grow your warm market by putting yourself out there and meeting new people in any way that you can.
2. Be Aware. Be Prepared. Don’t be caught looking the big catch in the eye without any bait. Always be prepared to talk to people about your business, because you never know when opportunity is going to present itself. Have a casual introduction that you feel comfortable with so when the moment comes up you feel confident and not nervous. Keep your eyes and ears open at all times.
3. Add more bait to your hook. If you’ve only been using one method of selling and recruiting, try expanding to incorporate others. Not using social media? YouTube channels? Blog sites? Try it out; advertise your product as much as you can. Get the word out there, not just in the physical world, but on the internet as well.
4. Go for the big ones. There are a lot of advantages to narrowing your focus by recruiting professionals instead of pitching to everyone you meet. Professionals typically have sales experience, they understand what it takes to succeed, and they may have more expendable income to enter into the business. Also, professionals know more professionals, so you’ll be expanding your networking efforts to grow your target market. Set your sights higher to hook the big catch.
Your Warm Market Just Got Warmer
Your warm market is what you want it to be. If you open up your eyes to all of the potential you’re met with on a daily basis and start looking for unique opportunities in everything you do, the warm market will seem boundless. Everything is what you make it, so go hard, be strategic, and aim high.
